Regan’s Drug Free, Vaginal Birth

Birth Story by Regan, Positively Hypnobirthing Mum
“I was able to have the drug free vaginal birth I wanted“

Baby Oscar was born on 14 November and I was able to have the drug free vaginal birth I wanted.

Breathing definitely helped in the first part of birthing and I used the tracks and affirmations to help. Struggled once active labour started and do not think I managed the bearing down breathing, the contractions were too strong for me. But I still was able to focus on baby travelling down and getting to meet him, which helped get me through.

Didn’t have a great hospital experience as we had to wait 2 hours between arriving at hospital and getting into the birthing suite, this was partially because we didn’t want an internal examination, but they wouldn’t let us in without one even though I was clearly ready to go in, so wasn’t in the comfortable supportive environment I had hoped for. Matt was fantastic though and with me every step of the way.

What this couple shared about the course with Kate

“I am so glad I did the Hypnobirthing course with Kate. I feel much more informed and confident about birthing and love that my partner also knows how to help and his role in the process. Kate presented the workshop with such warmth and passion that it was easy to take in and I didn’t want to miss anything she said.”
